Can Magnets Help With EMF?

Can magnets help with EMF

Most of us place magnets on the refrigerator doors. They are usually for decorative purposes or to hold notes. With so much interest in substances that protect against EMF radiation, the natural question is, can magnets help?

Magnets alone cannot usually block or resist EMF radiation. But magnetic metals can effectively resist EMF radiation. Magnets can also be used to neutralize the dangerous EMF radiation we are exposed to every day. As energy goes through matter, it gradually loses force. Using magnetic materials reduces the potency of EMF radiation.

The dangers of electromagnetic pollution are now under debate since they make many people sick. This article will detail how magnets can be used to produce objects that can obstruct electromagnetic radiation and provide health benefits. Read on to learn more.

What is a magnet?

Magnets are objects with specific elements that can create magnetic fields. The essence of magnets is the magnetic force due to the flux of charged particles within the object. However, not all objects have the properties of a magnet. Substances like iron, cobalt, and nickel have an odd number of electrons in their atoms, creating magnetic fields.

In addition, temporary magnets can be produced in the presence of a magnetic field. Electromagnets are produced by passing a current through a coil of wire wrapped around an iron core.

Researchers have used magnets to prevent the harmful effects of EMF radiation. There are two methods of shielding: passive and active. Passive shielding uses materials that absorb detrimental radiation, while the active shield repels radiation. Researchers have also considered using superconducting magnets as magnetic radiation shields to protect spacecraft from radiation.

Can magnets be used to dampen EMF radiation?

Can magnets be used to dampen EMF radiation

Magnets can dampen EMF radiation. However, before we get ahead of ourselves, let’s take a gander at the different kinds of magnets.

Ferromagnets

Iron, nickel, cobalt, and some rare elements like gadolinium, exhibit a unique magnetic property. They are called ferromagnets because of their structural similarity to an iron atom. They have a domain, a characteristic that is normally not magnetized. However, in the presence of a magnetic field, they become strong magnets.

They have many applications, one of which is to reduce the strength of EMF radiation.

Magnetized metals

Magnetized metal like iron can be used to block EMF radiation.

What are the benefits of using magnets to block EMFs?

Using magnets for therapy is as old as human history itself. The Yellow Emperor’s Book of Internal Medicine, dated around 2000 BC and undoubtedly one of the oldest surviving medical textbooks, mentions the use of lodestone, the earth’s natural magnet, to energize the body.

Similar use of lodestone for various disorders has been found in ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Hindu writings. In Europe, around the sixth century, Paracelsus used magnets to heal a range of ailments.

William Gilbert, physician to Queen Elizabeth I, used magnets for therapy. In his book, De Magnete, he wrote the differences between magnetism, static electricity, and electricity. Common people’s interest in the healing property of magnets grew in the middle of the eighteenth century, in which carbon-steel magnets were frequetly used.

The use of static magnets for health and healing is a complementary approach by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM).

The benefits of magnet therapy are as follows:

Improved blood flow

Alternative medicine practitioners have suggested that static magnets improve blood circulation and flow, theorized to affect the iron in our blood, one of the significant components of the pigment hemoglobin.

Improved circulation may help our body get rid of toxins and heavy metals, boosting our energy and vigor. Cell permeability may increase, leading to better oxygen flow, better absorption of nutrients, improved circulation, and improved clearance of waste products.

Reduces the intensity of chronic pain

Magnetic therapy has been used in many chronic orthopedic conditions of chronic bone pains. Research shows that magnetic fields can stimulate the production of proteoglycan and chondrocyte proliferation.

In a multicenter, double-blind, randomized placebo-controlled trial (NCCAM) of 75 patients with osteoarthritis, it was found that low-frequency pulsed fields caused improvements to functions, pain, and the overall evaluation of health conditions. Morning stiffness decreased by 20 minutes in the group that used magnetic therapy but increased by 2 minutes in the placebo group.

Decreases heart disease

This can happen due to increased blood flow. A new study at the University of Virginia supports the often-cited assertion that magnets may enhance blood flow and provide more oxygen and nutrients to wounded tissue.

One of the most important factors in healing is increased blood flow. Damage to blood arteries and an increased risk of heart attacks may occur if blood gets overly thick. When it comes to thinning human blood, though, a Temple University physicist has developed an alternative.

Mood improvement

Magnet therapy improves metabolism, sleep, mood, and reduces lower back pain. There are two kinds of magnet therapy. Static and electromagnetic. Static magnets are from 300-5000 gauss strength. Electromagnet therapy promotes bone healing, wound healing, and sleep.

What are the theories of action?

Magnets create an electromagnetic field and stimulate nerve endings. They decrease the sensitivity of the pain fibers (nociceptive fiber) and increase local blood flow. The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine offers background information on magnet therapy.

It also supports research in this domain. NCCAM published a research report entitled, Questions and Answers About Using Magnets to Treat Pain. It is peer-reviewed by scientific experts and includes randomized clinical trials conducted from March 1997 to January 2004.

What are EMF protection pendants?

What are EMF protection pendants

Devices like microwaves, cell phones, and Bluetooth expose us to EMF radiation every day. We are not even aware of how much radiation we are receiving from the electronic devices considered part and parcel of modern-day living. Cell towers are another source of EMFs for those who live in their proximity.

An EMF protection pendant is a necklace with a charm, but also more than just a piece of jewelry. It neutralizes EMF fields by attenuating them. Some of them, in addition, can help in restful sleep, reducing stress, and improving physical and mental health.

Conclusion

We all want to live a life that is free from toxins. If the toxins are invisible and with us twenty-four hours a day, all day, that can be threatening. For this reason, EMFs are sometimes called “electrosmog.”

Magnets can be an easy way to protect ourselves from the harmful effects of EMF radiation. Did you know that there are EMF detectors out there suitable for any budget? I have written a detailed article on this here

At the start, the aim of my research on EMF was to safeguard my family against the possible hazards of EMF radiation, but it has now become my mission to share this research with everyone. It is a fact that the threat of EMF is on the rise, but there are a number of ways by which we can protect ourselves.
